How to Get Rid of Puffy Eyes
Puffy eyes and dark circles are probably the problem that everyone has to deal with every once in a while. There are lots of factors that can cause these problems, and we all struggle with them every day: lack of sleep, too much liquid in the body, crying, salty food, etc. Besides, skin around the eyes is very thin and sensitive, and it's the first spot that reacts on these factors. You can use a concealer to hide the dark circles, but that's not going to work for puffy eyes. Luckily, you can get rid of them fast and easy. Learn some tricks to look fresh and beautiful every day!
Usually, puffiness is the result of excess fluids around your eyes. Thus, what you need to do is get rid of this fluid. Lightly massage the area around your eyes with your fingertips for 5 minutes, and the swelling will go down.
Wash your eyes with cold water or apply an ice cube wrapped in soft cloth for several seconds. Low temperature should improve the fluid circulation and make your eyes look normal again.
There are also several nice home remedies that can help you cope with your problem.
The oldest and time-proven method of puffiness treatment is applying teabags to your eyes. Tea contains tannin that has a good effect to your skin and helps you cope with the swelling. Use cold teabags for 10-15 minutes for better results.
Cucumber slices will do the trick as well. They tighten up the skin and refresh it.
Just smash a slice of avocado in a bowl, add 5 drops of almond oil, stir carefully and apply to the skin around your eyes for 5-7 minutes.
It also tightens your skin up and bleaches it a little bit. It creates the effect of fresh eyes. Just squeeze some lemon juice, soak a cotton ball with this juice, and slightly wipe the skin.
Over-the-counter cremes and cooling gels
