How to Get Rid of Dark Underarms
First off, if you have dark underarms, donít worry Ė itís not a disease and doesnít require any medical treatments. In fact, itís just a point of pigmentation. Some people are being lucky and have pretty light underarm skin, while others were born with darker skin and have to deal with it every day. Have no fear! There are ways to lighten the armpit skin and make your underarms look beautiful.
Make sure you wash and exfoliate your underarms every day to get rid of any build-up like deodorant, sweat, and dirt.
Potato is a natural bleacher and you can use it as a chemicals-free natural substitute for store-bought skin bleachers. Cut 1 potato in two and gently rub into your skin just as you do when use your deodorant. Repeat daily.
They work as potatoes but are slightly more effective. Just donít forget to wipe off the excess lemon juice.
Apple cider vinegar
Soak a cotton pad with apple cider vinegar and wipe your armpits. Rinse with water.
Make some baking soda paste by adding a little bit of water and apply the paste on your armpits. Let it sit for 10-15 minutes and wash your armpits.
Use depigmenting cream
You can find lots of various depigmenting creams in the drug stores, for example Uriage Depiderm Anti Brown Spots Intensive Depigmenting Cream.
These creams are strong enough to slightly bleach the skin and make it a shade lighter, but it wonít be enough in case your skin is really dark.
Choose the right deodorant
Cheap deodorants contain chemicals that can possibly make your skin darker. Look for a good quality and not for low price.
Donít shave your underarms
Shaving is the worst idea if you are struggling with dark underarms. The hair grows very fast and these dark dots are showing through the skin and make your underarms even darker. Consider waxing or sugaring Ė the effect lasts way longer, leave your skin smooth, and it doesnít hurt as much as you probably think.
Donít use blunt razors
If you donít want to wax your underarms, make sure the razor youíre using is sharp. Change the blade at least once in every 2 weeks.
Donít wear tight black synthetic clothes
Microparticles of the fabric mix up with your deodorant and can make your skin darker in case you donít scrub your armpits well enough.
Discoloration of the underarms is an upsetting issue, especially in hot weather when you want to dress light and those dark underarms prevent you from wearing sleeveless clothes. Luckily, you can easily lighten your skin. All you need to do is take proper care of your underarms, use high quality skincare products and opt for effective bleachers.
